聯準會理事鮑曼：恐需進一步升息 以降低通膨
〔中央社〕美國聯準會官員今天表示，政策制定者將利率提高至2001年以來的最高水準後不久，「可能需要」進一步升息，以對抗通膨。
法新社報導，昨日公布的美國就業數據好壞參半，顯示非農招聘已經放緩，但薪資增長仍然強勁。

聯邦準備理事會（Fed）理事鮑曼（Michelle Bowman）今天在科羅拉多州（Colorado）的一場活動中發表預先備妥講稿的談話。她表示，鑑於「強勁的經濟數據和仍在高位的通膨」，她支持聯邦公開市場委員會（FOMC）7月份升息的決定。
「我還預計可能需要進一步升息，才能使通膨率降至聯邦公開市場委員會設定的2%目標。」
勞工部昨天公布的就業數據顯示，全球最大經濟體7月新增18萬7000個工作崗位，6月新增18萬5000個，增速開始放緩。
不過，薪資月增幅度穩定維持在0.4%，7月份增幅較去年同期高出4.4%。
鮑曼在今天的談話中表示，「對勞工的需求持續超過供應，增加了物價上漲的壓力。」
她還說，評估美國聯邦資金利率（federal funds rate）需要受限多長時間時，她將尋求「一致的證據」，證明通膨正朝著聯準會的2%目標有意義地下降。
她指出，「我還將持續關注消費者支出放緩以及勞動力市場寬鬆的跡象。」
預計官員們將評估8月勞動力市場報告，以及即將發布的通膨數據，然後在9月底做出下一次利率決定。1120806
