英國升息1碼 利率飆至15年高點

〔財經頻道／綜合報導〕英國央行週四（3日）宣布升息1碼（0.25個百分點），主要利率提高至5.25%，創15年以來新高。
綜合外電報導，英國央行貨幣政策委員會 （MPC） 週四以 6 比 3 的投票結果，支持升息1碼，這是英國央行連續第14次升息，並示警，借貸成本可能在未來一段時間內保持高點，以使通膨率回到 2% 的目標。

統計顯示，英國通膨率去年達到 11.1%，創 41 年來新高，通膨下降速度則比其他地區緩慢，6 月份降至 7.9%，為主要經濟體中最高者。為抑制高通膨，英國央行貨幣政策委員會並未在本次會議中暗示升息即將結束。
