態度放軟 鮑爾：Fed仍未決定是否加速升息

〔財經頻道／綜合報導〕美國聯準會（Fed）主席鮑爾（Jerome Powell）週三（8日）重申，可能加速升息並擴大幅度的訊息，但強調，相關議題仍在討論中，最終結果將取決於2週後舉行政策會議前所公佈的數據。

《路透》報導，鮑爾週三出席眾議院金融服務委員會聽證會，會中指出，如果整體數據表明有必要加速收緊政策，Fed將準備加速升息步調，但鮑爾強調，聯準會尚未做出任何決定，但將密切關注週五（10日）即將公佈的就業數據和下週的通膨數據，以決定升息是否要回到更高幅度。

眾院聽證會期間，議員向鮑爾施壓，詢問Fed政策對經濟的影響，以及官員們是否正冒著經濟衰退的風險來抑制物價上漲。鮑爾再度坦言，Fed最初認為通膨只是「暫時性」因素帶來的結果將會自行緩解，這是錯誤的看法，並表示，勞動力市場從疫情大流行中恢復的表現，令人感到驚訝。

美國通膨目前正從去年夏季的高點有所緩和，但下降的速度未達Fed預期。鮑爾本週對國會發言再次改變了人們對政策走向的預期，鮑爾直言，終點利率可能高於原先預期，因為通膨下降速度不像幾週前一樣。

利率期貨市場現在預計，Fed官員將在即將召開的會議上升息2碼（0.5個百分點）。官員們也將更新最終需要升息多少，才能抑制通膨的預測。在12月中的最後1次預測當中，Fed基準隔夜利率高點中值預估在5-5.25％之間，目前利率區間為4.5-4.75％。
