吳政忠：台美科技合作會議5月登場

〔記者楊媛婷／台北報導〕促進台美合作的首屆「台美科技合作會議（STC）」原訂二○二二年十一月在台灣召開，但受美國當時舉行期中選舉等影響而暫緩，國科會主委吳政忠昨表示，駐美代表蕭美琴上週返台帶來好消息，台美科技合作會議預計今年五月舉行。

原訂去年十一月要舉行的台美科技合作會議，當時規劃由美國高層官員率團，包含國務院、白宮官員、美國國家科學基金會（NSF）、美國國家衛生院（NIH）、美國國家標準暨技術研究院（NIST）、美國國家海洋暨大氣總署（NOAA）等研究機構首長或代表都會來台與會。

台美雙方當時規劃會議內容包括專題演講、合作策略對談、簽署合作協定、舉辦台美五大合作議題之學術研討會、國科會與NSF科技合作年會，以及參訪國內產學研機構等，並規劃參訪新竹科學園區、國研院太空中心、半導體研究中心、國網中心及沙崙科學城等。

此會議去年受美國期中選舉影響而延宕，國科會昨舉行新春記者會，媒體問及台美科技合作會議消息，吳政忠透露，蕭美琴上週來國科會帶來好消息，台美科技合作會議預計今年五月登場。
