鮑爾看利率將在高位維持更久 市場不買帳

〔財經頻道／綜合報導〕聯準會主席鮑爾（Jerome Powell）表示，聯準會在升息和抑制通膨上還有更多工作要做，不過華爾街對2023年前景似乎有不同的看法，認為聯準會將轉鴿，而通膨趨緩狀況也會比聯準會想像的還要理想。

《彭博》報導，聯準會週三（14日）升息2碼，將利率升至2007年以來最高水準，鮑爾在新聞發布會上強調聯準會將繼續打擊通膨，儘管價格壓力減緩，以及失業和經濟衰退疑慮升高。

最初聯準會的言論被視為強硬，不過隨著投資人押注聯準會2023年政策會大轉彎，最終甚至會因經濟步履蹣跚而降息，債券價格逆轉。

Stifel Nicolaus & Co. 首席經濟學家Lindsey Piegza就認為，市場不相信聯準會立場會越來越強硬，也就是把利率提高至高於預期的水準，然後維持在高位，市場顯然認為，通膨將比聯準會預期更理想。

鮑爾也重申聯準會將把通膨率壓至2%的決心，並明確表示，無論投資者怎麼想，聯準會都不會考慮明年降息。

聯準會決策者預計2023年通膨率將下降，預估中值為2023年底至3.1%，但失業率中值將從11月的3.7%上升至 4.6%，經濟增長則會放緩至 0.5%。

鮑爾指出，19 位聯準會官員中，有 17 位預估2023年基準利率將達5%或更高。在週三升息後，目前基準利率為4.25%至4.5%區間。
