極端氣候席捲美國 能源公司做好戒備

針對美國用電危機，許多能源公司表示已做好因應措施。（路透）

〔財經頻道／綜合報導〕儘管本週美國許多地區出現高溫，但仍有許多電力公司表示，因為他們已有前車之鑑，並做好因應措施，所以不會出現大停電的狀況。

《福斯商業》報導，2021年2月德克薩斯州出現零下負幾十度的低溫紀錄，導致許多民眾打開暖氣，而通常只有在夏季才會出現的高用電需求，讓德克薩斯州的電網在冬季意外出現用電危機。

加州的電力調度中心（California ISO）也同樣經歷過用電危機，2020年加州夏季的溫度飆至38度，讓調度中心不得不進行20年來首次的輪流停電。

基於上述經驗，替紐約1千萬民眾提供電力的私人電力公司Consolidated Edison表示，團隊已經準備好面對出現的任何危機。新英格蘭最大能源供應商Eversource也表示，他們一直在監控系統，尤其是在夏季。「在必要時，會使用遠程切換功能來緩解需求並改善電力流動，降低停電風險。」

上個月，德克薩斯州電力可靠性委員會（ERCOT）也要求企業與民眾節約用電，自那以後該組織沒有再發出類似用電警告，並且聲稱，有足夠的發電量來滿足用電需求。
